it's here

This is a baby-related post. Please feel free to skip if you are not comfortable reading.

The day I go back to work. My bag is packed, and so is K's. Tomorrow morning, I will drop her off at daycare, and the rest of our lives will start.

It sort of feels like going back to work after your honeymoon. The celebration is over, and now you settle into your normal life.

The last 12 weeks have gone by far too fast - especially the last seven that she was home from the hospital.

Wish me luck. I'm sure I'll be a blubbering mess tomorrow morning. I promise to post all about it later this week.

Thinking of you tomorrow! I have heard that the first few days are the hardest and each day gets a little easier!

Girl, I'm four months into being back to work and I STILL cry from time to time. It never gets easy, leaving your little one every morning -- but it does get easier. Good luck to you & sending lots of hugs & love your way!!!!

I've been thinking about you all day and wondering how you are feeling. Hugs.

It will be hardest on you, and knowing that will give you some solace. SHE will be fine :)

I like your analogy, because it's not like life after the honeymoon is a bad thing - it's just different. Something about the normalcy of it is even appealing (most of the time).

Good luck!!

It's so hard to find your new rhythm! I've been back to work for 6 weeks now and except for when he's sick, N (and we) have made a great transition. Good luck!

Good luck. Put lots of pictures at your desk! Each day, I get so excited to go get Avalyn after work. When I go get her, she is SO HAPPY to see me! Best feeling ever.

You'll be fine. She will be fine. It won't feel like it, but you both will be. And some days? Leaving her will almost feel like a gift.

And then you'll feel even worse.
