on to the next one

My date with Wandy went well. I had to wait an unusual amount of time in the waiting room and, as a result, they didn't charge me a co-pay.

My uterus and ovaries look "perfect" and I start Femara tonight. Since my follies progressed so quickly last time, they want to see me a day earlier this cycle on CD 10 instead of CD 11. So, I will be going in next Tuesday for my scan. I imagine my IUI will be on Thursday or Friday morning.

The nurse seemed just as disappointed as I was that last cycle didn't work. Again, she used the word perfect, but perfect for me would equal pregnancy.

Maybe my standards are too high.

In completely unrelated news, I am sure now that most of you have heard about the devastating floods in Nashville. Joey and I lived in Nashville for two years and it makes me so sad to see the pictures of our former home. The flood has displaced many of our former friends and coworkers.

So, if you could, please take a moment today and send some good thoughts to the people of Nashville. It's a truly beautiful city with wonderful people and these images just break my heart.

Good luck this cycle!

I am so heartbroken for Nashville, too. I keep looking at the pictures and it never gets any easier to see. I just really can't believe it. Our 7th grade class trip to Nashville is supposed to be next week... not sure if it'll happen or not. We had a lot of flooding around Memphis, too....but I think it seems so much more devastating because it hit downtown Nash and so many famous places.

So sad.

I remember when we had our flooding last year. It was absolutely crazy and so scary to drive home when half the interstates were drastically flooded. So we're all kinda paranoid about rain that lasts longer than a day around here.

Glad that everything is looking well. Hopefully this cycle will be perfect - in your definition.

I lived in Nashville for 16 years and my brother still lives there-- it really is devastating to see all of the damage and destruction. Thank God, my bro and his friends in East Nashville are ok, despite some very scary conditions!!

I have been sending good thoughts to them - that's horrible! I hope things are "fixed" soon for them.

I hope this cycle brings some good news for you, it sounds like your doctors are being pro-active and hopeful! Both wonderful things~

Sending lots of good vibes to you!!

Just saw your comment - you can come party in Louisville for Derby and then tell me where to hit up in Nashville. I've always wanted to go and just haven't - despite it only being 3 hours away! Prayers for everyone out there now - that flooding is just unbelievable.

Your standards are definitely not high. perfection=pregnancy. Hopefully, doing things one day earlier this cycle will be your golden ticket! :)
