Between closing on the house this afternoon and my lumpectomy tomorrow morning, I don't know how active I'll be in the blogosphere over the next several days. To everyone who has ultrasounds, betas, IUIs, etc. between now and Monday: good luck and I'll be thinking of you!
Next time I write, I'll be down $100,000 and one golf-ball-sized tumor!

Best to you in the days ahead. I'll be thinking of you. I was just getting caught up on your posts and your "Up" post made me cry. I loved loved that movie and that's even without the insight that you provided. It's true. They did get it, and it did hold throughout the movie, something I hadn't thought about but you made me realize it and it touched me deeply.
As for a family. I remained so dissatisfied with my status before I was pregnant - just me and DH, like I hadn't achieved all that I wanted. But now, being pregnant makes me realize that it's not a magic switch. We have not become more of a family and we are not 'waiting' for family life to begin. It's finally dawned on me that you can't be more of a family than being one half of a loving relationship. DH is my family. My favorite part of it. and only now that we're hopeful that we will add to it do I realize how much I took that for granted.
