Thank you to A, Leslie, Arlyne, Andrea, and Jin for nominating me for this blog award. I don't know what I would do without each of your friendships and support. And I'm sorry it took me so long to "accept" this!
I honestly don't know if I can think of seven interesting things about me, but I'll try my best. I lead a pretty boring life.
1. I have never eaten a hamburger
2. My husband was my boss at my very first job. I was 16 and head over heels for him, and he didn't give me the time of day. Two years later when I went off to college, we reconnected and I persuaded him to go on a date with me. It only took a month! We've been together ever since,
3. I have an irrational fear of insects, which made our first apartment in Tennessee a nightmare. We moved out after two months because of a house centipede infestation. If you don't know what a house centipede looks like, Google it. Just don't Google it before you go to bed.

4. Self esteem has been an issue for me my whole life. I've always been one to try and please people and to worry what people think about me. I'm just starting to break free from this, little by little.
5. Joey and I have matching tattoos. Don't worry--it doesn't say our names and it's not a symbol of our marriage. It's actually a family thing and other member of his family have it or have plans to get it, too. We got them at a hole-in-the-wall tattoo shop in Ludlow, KY. I still need to get mine fixed.
6. I've been to the top of a volcano.

7. I'm related to the Kennedys. It's through marriage, but my mom's cousin married one of Bobby's children (who will remain nameless). I've met him several times at family functions. When Ted died last year, my mom sent a sympathy card and she received a handwritten thank you letter in response.

Now THOSE are interesting!! I have so many questions, but the easiest is...NEVER a hamburger? Not even as a child?
This was cool! Can't believe you've never eaten a hamburger...I rarely do but I have them every now and then. And I love to hear how people met and got married, so cute!!!

I can relate to a bunch of these. My DH was my boss first. And it took me FOREVER (three years) to convince him we'd be perfect for each other. I'm also a people-pleaser and am also reaching that stage of realizing how important and difficult it is to figure out who I am and what I want beneath all that. But even me - a staunch vegetarian since 14 and even a vegan for 6 years once - has eaten a hamburger in my life.

I don't eat hamburgers very often, and if I do have one it needs to have cheese! I can't imagine not know what one tastes like though!!

I hate centipedes...and milipedes. Yuck. I'm paranoid visiting relatives in the caribbean because you constantly have to flit (pretty much spray the whole room with bug spray) the rooms to kill them.
One of those centipedes stopped my college roommate in her tracks once. She wouldn't cross the threshold until I came and moved it! :)
Okay, so you know you're going to have to write a seperate post on this hamburger thing, lol! Not even McD's??
