is gone.

My cyst is gone. They have no idea why, but I don't care. (You should have heard my doctor. She was screaming with joy. I'm still speechless.)

Up next: HSG.

My doctor called me today. Apparently all of the results WEREN'T ready from the SA when I had my last appointment.

25% of Joey's sperm are abnormal. So after the LAP, whenever that is, I'll be sent to an RE. Clomid and IUIs, here I come.

So I wake up this morning to a (sorry, TMI!) bloody-ass mess.

AF is here. Way. too. effing. early. Cycle # 11 is starting off with a bang.

Now, of course, I have to call and reschedule my u/s AGAIN. At least I know that this Friday's appointment wouldn't have worked either.

I'll have to wait until next week to find out what Boris is doing in there. (I'd like to thank Candi for inspiring me to name my cyst!)

On a separate note, thank you to everyone who left me encouraging notes this week. Joey and I had a long talk yesterday and I got a chance to cry it all out. I am so thankful for him. He is my rock and I don't know what I would do without his support. But you have no idea how it feels to come on here and have friends I can count on, too. It really means a lot.

Hopefully brighter, better days are ahead.

u/s bumped up

I moved my u/s up to Tuesday, March 24 (from Friday, March 27) so it wouldn't interfere with AF--since I'm assuming they will do another vaginal u/s. Tuesday will be CD29 and since my cycles have gotten increasingly longer, I figured Tuesday would put me in the clear.

she's alive!

Yes, I know. I've been absent for quite a while. There's no real breaking news on the moving/job front. We hope we get some more information this week. They are still keeping in touch with him, which is a good sign, but it's annoying how long they are dragging out this process. I'm I the only one who thinks over a month is wayyyyyyyyy too long of a screening process for a retail management position?!

We did decide, however, that I will not stay here more than 60 days past Joey's start date. We are hoping they ask him to start work before the end of March, which means I would be home by the end of May (or sooner, if I get a job before then).

Joey's been sick for about a week and a half, and now I think I am catching it. I have a raging sinus headache/migraine at the moment. I think the weather is playing a huge role in this. Earlier this week it was 80 degrees, and the temp dropped to below freezing in less than 24 hours. That can't be healthy for anyone.

So this weekend will be spent on the couch. Gotta get rid of these demons before Monday. There's too much going on at work this week for me to take any time off.

My doctor called yesterday and informed me that my colposcopy results came back normal. She said the biopsy shows no more progression than she originally thought. Finally, some good news!

i'm out

We are headed up to Cincy. Joey is coming to pick me up from work any minute now. I think I mentioned that his grandpa had a stroke last month, and he hasn't been doing very well. Not to mention we are overdue for a visit to see the rest of Joey's extended family. So we are headed north this weekend. Joey's mom is actually up there this weekend, too, so it will be nice to see her.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

help/advice needed

Joey's interview went really well today, and they are calling references. We should know something by Friday.

I'm starting to get a little nervous about the prospect of switching doctors and insurances. Do any of you ladies have experience doing this while having a medical issue that needs to be treated? Is my new insurance company going to be shady about covering me for a preexisting condition? I am thinking if everything is decided by my next u/s on the 27th (I hope things are decided by then!), I will talk to my doctor about it. I would prefer to have the LAP done here, but if we aren't going to be trying as soon as we get back in Florida, then it makes no sense.

I think I'm mostly nervous that a new doctor isn't going to be as diligent as my current doctor. I guess I will need to ask around for recommendations and "interview" potential OB/GYNs???

Time to recap everything that's been going on since late last week:

The trip to Babies R' Us was not as traumatic as I thought it would be. I did a great job--no tears were shed. Walking through the doors and seeing five or six people carrying babies was a little overwhelming, but I took a few deep breaths and pushed on. I even ventured past aisle one and looked at all of the bedroom/bedding sets, and wandered through the clothing section. Such cute stuff! I refrained from making any purchases, though. I'm not sure I want a little bitty outfit around here reminding me of what we don't have yet.

On top of that, the baby shower also went perfect. My boss must have thanked me a million times for putting everything together (she knows we are trying). There were times when the other ladies were sharing their childbirth stories that I had to tune out a little bit. But someone always managed to make things funny before I got too emotional.

Today was my colposcopy. It didn't hurt, but WOW was it uncomfortable. I thought I was going to pass out when I saw the tool she used to take the biopsy. I ended up taking this afternoon as "sick" time and coming home. It feels great to be in my PJs right now.

While I was in for my colposcopy, my doctor gave me the results of Joey's SA. She said everything was normal, except some of the sperm didn't have tails. She didn't sound too concerned about this, so I guess I'm not going to be too concerned about it. She still recommends going on Clomid as soon as I have the LAP done--which is fine with me. I just hope that if we end up moving back home to Florida, I can find a doctor that is willing to stick to this plan. I don't want to have to go through all of this again.

Next up is the second u/s on Friday, March 27. It feels like a lifetime away.

my CD 2 blood work is back and it's . . .

NORMAL! Whew! Big sigh of relief. I have eggs and they are normal!

More big news today: Joey is flying to Orlando tomorrow. He has his second and (hopefully) last interview with the company he met with a couple of weeks ago. FINGERS CROSSED!!!

I promise I will write a long post tomorrow night about my colposcopy, which is tomorrow, and last week's Babies R' Us and baby shower adventures.
