my consolation prize

Let me preface this post with I am not a high-maintenance girl.

The nicest piece of jewelry I own is my wedding set, and it's not lavish. I've never owned a designer anything in my whole life. My Uggs are fake. I buy most of my clothes at Target and outlet stores. I get my hair cut once every four months, don't get my nails done, and I never ever wear make-up outside of powder, concealer, and (maybe) mascara (and I only wear those on "special occasions").

Yesterday, while we were walking around the outlet mall, we somehow wound up at the Coach store. Less than 30 minutes later, we walked out with this:

Joey picked it out and bought it for me for Christmas. When I asked him why, he said, "Because you've had a rough year and you deserve it."

It might not be a baby, but I'm certainly going to protect it like one. :)
