don't act shocked

But the beta was negative.

I talked to my nurse about some of my concerns:
  • are we being aggressive enough?
  • where the hell are my comprehensive blood work results that I had done two months ago?
  • can I see the doctor I actually signed up to see or do I have to see his lame partner every time?
She is going to sit down with the doctor (MY doctor) and come up with some other possible plans for us. We may be paying him a visit sometime this month for a follow-up consultation.

Good thing my support group meets tonight and it's our Christmas "sweets" potluck. I'm going to need all of that sugar to make me feel better.

That would piss me off too! These doctor's offices seem to be so inconsiderate. Hope you have fun tonight!!

I'm sorry about your results. I'm glad you had had the presence of mind to ask questions and have get something else set up. I'm also glad that you have your group meeting tonight. I think it will help.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I wish there were something more I could say or do.

I'm sorry about the beta. I think you are very right to address your concerns with them, esp if they are holding out on lab test results. Mmm....holiday sweets! Have fun!

I'm sorry about your beta, but I'm glad that you were able to ask questions. Hopefully you will get some answers soon.

Have a glass of wine...or the whole bottle.

I'm so sorry. :-( But, I am so glad that you asked all those questions -- you deserve some answers and some attention from YOUR doctor. I hope you get in for that meeting with him soon.

Enjoy "sweets" night tonight! :-)

Oh Katie, dealing with these freakin' RE offices is just such b-s.. I'm so sorry. I hope you can get some answers and a plan soon. Dont'cha just love it how these RE's sell you on their charm and confidence and then you never hear from them again?
UGH. It makes me so mad for you!

I'm reall sorry Katie. I hope you get some answers from your Dr and you feel good about your next step. I hope the meeting went well and comforted you tonight. I couldn't go b/c of work and filling in for 2 other peeps this week. But anyhow I really hope you're ok. You're such a sweet and encouraging person I really want this to work out for you!

I am sorry about the beta. But I do think a serious talk is in order. I sometimes feel like the REs go on "autopilot" and need to remember we can't read their minds to know what their ultimate plan is...

Sending you a hug...

I'm so sorry, Katie. And, I really hope you get some answers soon. I hate that we kind of get abandoned by our doctors sometimes. ((Hugs))

Katie, I am so sorry that your beta was negative. I think it is always best to get aggressive and proactive in your healthcare if you feel it is right for you.

You definitely need to write down all your concerns and meet with YOUR doctor.

I wish this was easier for you.
