We did it. And we didn't die!
This morning, Joey and I ran our first 5k--Susan G. Komen's Race for the Cure. For those of you who don't know, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer when I was in high school (you can read her story here). We usually participate in Relay for Life and Making Strides, but this year we wanted to do something a little more challenging.
We didn't bring a camera to the event, but here are a few pictures of when we arrived home:

YAY! Congrats on your first 5K!!
Race for the Cure is a great one to start off with. Be careful, though.... 5K's have a certain way of getting addictive! :-)
Oh, and for the record, I knew you could do it. AND that you wouldn't die in the process!
Congrats! I've really been wanting to try a 5K--and to get hubby to do it with me--and now you've inspired me to actually find one! Convincing the husband, though, will be a whole other battle ;)
Congratulations!! I knew you could do it!
Congrats on your 5K! So funny because my work is doing the Race for the Cure in Jan. and that's all everyone there is talking about! I am one of the teams captains. So nervous!
